With the SEP (
Sustainable Energy Production), the Ministry of Economic Affairs seeks to encourage the development of sustainable energy provision in the Netherlands. Sustainable energy is better for the environment, makes the Netherlands less dependent on fossil fuels and is good for the economy.
Park15 Logistics has received an SDE subsidy for a solar array of some 60,000 m2 on the roof of the sustainable warehouse which is to be built on
plot 3. This solar array will generate nearly 6 million kWh per year, which represents the energy consumption of more than 1,800 households on an annual basis.
The renewable energy produced will be directly used for the building’s energy needs. Any surplus energy will benefit other users within Park15 Logistics.
